You are invited to participate in a research study examining how musical background may relate to preferences for different historical musical styles. This study is being conducted as part of an academic course.
What you will do: You will answer a few brief demographic questions, then listen to 18 short musical excerpts (each under 20 seconds). After each excerpt, you will indicate whether you recognize it and rate how much you enjoy it. The survey should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Risks and benefits: There are no known risks beyond those of everyday life. There are no direct benefits to you, but your participation contributes to our understanding of musical preference.
Confidentiality: Your responses are completely anonymous. No personally identifiable information is collected, and results will be reported only in aggregate.
Voluntary participation: Participation is entirely voluntary. You may close this page at any time without penalty.
